BIKES FOR LIFE

For the past three years Fuel have proudly been a major sponsor of Bikes 4 Life! In May 2015 we co-funded the Bikes 4 Life warehouse in Brookvale, and Chris and Sara run the NSW chapter of the Bikes 4 Life charity. We also launched the new Bikes 4 Life website in September 2015 and all staff are actively involved in running collection days once a month.

Bikes 4 Life is a not for profit organisation that alleviates poverty and social injustice in Australia and overseas by recycling and restoring discarded bikes. With the simple gift of a bicycle, families can enhance their standard of living dramatically, especially those in marginalised impoverished communities.

Fuel not only assist in warehouse days, but provided design and marketing services when needed.

Feel free to visit the Bikes 4 Life website and get involved if you can!

FUEL & BUSHLINK

At Fuel, we are passionate about community spirit! The Fuel team have taken part in corporate volunteering with Bushlink for the past two years and we have every intention of continuing with this mutually beneficial partnership.

Bushlink are an innovative employment program who provide supportive and interesting employment options for people with disabilities whilst improving the environment.

The Bushlink team is made up of a supervisor and a small team of people with intellectual and/or multiple disabilities. Our corporate volunteering allows us to get out of the office for a day, spend time with some incredible people and help our local environment.

Bushlink is available for gardening and bush regeneration services around the Northern Beaches of Sydney. If you would like to get involved, visit www.bushlink.org.au and like them on Facebook!

CAMBODIAN CHILDREN'S FUND

Fuel’s involvement with Bikes 4 Life has lead to a rewarding partnership with Cambodian Children’s Fund. In both 2014 and 2015 Bikes 4 Life provided over 300 bikes to CCF and Fuel now offer pro-bono marketing services for CCF's annual fundraising event.

For ten years Cambodian Children’s Fund has provided life-changing education, nourishment and healing to vulnerable children from some of Cambodia’s most destitute communities.

In the beginning CCF's world revolved around the health and well-being of 45 youngsters. Today they care for more than 2,000 children, and have extended their services to provide for families and communities in crisis.

THE SUDSY CHALLENGE

The Sudsy Challenge is about keeping your kit on for three days, talking about it with those around you and helping to raise funds and awareness to support those experiencing homelessness.

A personal passion project for one of our staff members, they introduced the Fuel team to Orange Sky – an amazing charity providing laundry services for those affected by homelessness.

Fuel finished in the Top 5 fundraisers in 2020 and we will continue to support this wonderful organisation. Learn more about Orange Sky here.
